Many people have described adult coloring as being therapeutic, mediative and grounding. It gives us a distraction from the stress of everyday life and takes us back to a time in our childhood when we were care free.
There is no right or wrong way to fill in the colors and this is great because it allows us to create without worry and to fully engage with what we are doing.
Some of the benefits of adult coloring include: relaxation, improving mindfulness and reducing stress. It is so important that we keep our stress levels down as it causes us many problems such as; aches and pains, tiredness, anxiety, depression and makes it harder for us to sleep.
As humans we strongly associate color with are moods so by surrounding ourselves with the color we want to ‘feel’ we can actually hack our brains! (attach image)
You can use whatever you want to color in with, paint, markers, pencils. My favorite part is after you finish you have something pretty to go on your wall!

or purchase a book online, just search for ‘adult coloring book’. if neither of these options work for you try taking a line for a walk, just close your eyes and draw a continuous line on your paper, then fill the spaces in with colour. It should look something like this:
